Health CarePickersgill is highly respected throughout Maryland. Pickersgill's facility is licensed by the state for both skilled and Assisted Living. Resident care is coordinated by our Medical Director. Each individual's needs are carefully evaluated, and specific care plans are designed. Our professional staff, supervised by the director of nursing, is on duty 24 hours a day to assure that all health needs are met. Our admissions director helps coordinate details of moving into the health care area.
Within the independent living apartments, residents have many health care options. They may continue to see their own physicians or transfer to Pickersgill's staff physician. Other on-site health related services include podiatry, physical therapy, dentistry, and ophthalmology.
Pickersgill's monthly fee program enables its residents to pay for these services as they need them. Apartment residents also receive 30 lifetime days of nursing care free of charge.
Temporary and long-term nursing care are available on a priority basis. Residents are admitted before the general public. With Pickersgill's on-site health care, residents remain in familiar surroundings where they can be visited by friends and family.
