The well-being of Pickersgill’s residents is at the heart of what we do, and volunteers are a vital part of our culture. Whether you’re a student looking to fulfill community service hours or simply looking for a way to positively affect the lives of others, join our family of Pickersgill volunteers.

See how your skills and passions can impact others. Examples of volunteering include:

Friendly Visitor:	Share the pleasure of your company one-on-one or with several people by visiting residents on a regular basis.
Group Leader:	Enjoy a current events discussion, a hand of cards, a round of bingo or a board game with one or more residents.
Escort:	Ride along with residents to outside appointments.
Reader:	Enjoy a great book, poetry or magazines together with residents.
Letter/E-mail Writer:	Help residents keep in touch with loved ones by writing a letters, e-mails or sending a postcard.
Artist, Craftsperson, Musician:	Share your own special talents in a creative way. From ceramics, drawing, singing, playing an instrument...use your imagination. The sky's the limit!
Special Events Helper:	Assist at one of our several annual events in a variety of ways.
Activities Helper:	Pitch in and lend a hand by helping the Activities Department with cooking classes, singalongs, happy hour, holiday parties - wherever needed!

It's Easy to Become a Pickersgill Volunteer!

2. Complete the application forms* provided by Pickersgill.
3. Schedule an interview and take a tour of our community.
4. Plan your time with us so that it's compatible with your schedule. Our Volunteer Coordinator will help.
5. Come and enjoy Pickersgill Retirement Community!

*Minimum age requirement for volunteers is 14 years old
*All volunteers will be screened for TB
*Volunteers over 18 require a background check (provided)
